IoT infrastructure and technologies for 'smart' marinas are interconnected systems, devices and objects that have a unique Identifier and they are able to transfer real-time data and information over telecommunication networks (wireless, wired) without the need of human intervention. The data, after being collected in real time, are processed appropriately and feed special applications that represent the situation in selected areas of the marina / tourist port (e.g. mooring spots, port entrance, selected marina’s facilities) visualizing the measurements and providing tools for controlling compliance with national and international guidelines and regulations (water and environmental quality, noise levels, etc.).
